The Lorain Port and Finance Authority sponsors an annual Independence Day Fireworks Display for residents and visitors. The display is launched from the Mile-Long Pier and can be viewed from Black River Landing, the Mile-Long Pier, Lakeview Beach, and other nearby locations. This event serves as the closing Fourth of July celebration for America's 250th birthday.

Viewing Reminder:

  • Fireworks begin after the sun completely sets.

  • Recommended viewing areas include Black River Landing, the Mile-Long Pier, Lakeview Beach, and nearby locations.
