Sensory-Friendly Saturdays
Sensory-Friendly Saturday events offer adaptations to meet diverse sensory-processing needs every third Saturday of each month from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.
Guests on the autism spectrum, people experiencing dementia, and those of all ages who have intellectual or developmental disabilities are invited to participate in a calming museum experience with less stimulation in a section of the museum’s galleries before they open to the public—reducing crowds, noise, and distractions.
Guests can explore the galleries at their own pace, relax in the designated “calming corner,” and share this time and space with open-minded members of the community.
Apollo’s Fire Family Concert
Apollo’s Fire invites you to meet the music and ancient instruments from far-away places, including Jerusalem, Spain, Italy, and Africa!
We sing songs of friendship and explore how music connects cultures across the globe.
Arrive early at 10:00 a.m. to participate in a hands-on art-making activity inspired by the themes of the performance, presented in partnership with the Cleveland Museum of Art’s Community Arts Center! The performance begins at 11:00 a.m.
Following the performance, enjoy Apollo’s Fire’s famous “Instrument Petting Zoo,” when the audience swarms the stage to try the instruments themselves—delightfully noisy!
Lowe's Kids Workshop: Lawn Mower
Ready to roll into spring? Builders can construct their very own push Lawn Mower toy—complete with a spinning feature! It’s a fun, hands-on project that teaches kids about tools and motion while getting them excited for yardwork season.
