2nd Annual Ohio City Oktoberfest
Mark your calendars for the return of our Ohio City Oktoberfest on Saturday, October 3rd, from 12 – 8 pm at Market Square Park for an afternoon packed with crisp brews, delicious local eats, fun family-friendly games, and live music!
We will have an awesome lineup of local brews on tap, food vendors serving local favorites and Bavarian eats, a Pretzel Toss, Steinholding Competitions, and live music from Die Unpronouncables to keep the energy going all afternoon long! Don your lederhosen, call your friends, and come clink a stein with us. This event is free and open to all ages.

Once Upon a Treat
Join Bright Beginnings Parent Support Department for our second annual Once Upon a Treat, a free indoor trick-or-treating event for children ages 6 and under. (Siblings are welcome!)
Families can enjoy trick-or-treating, a fun craft, donuts and cider, local community resources, and more. Kids are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite costumes and join us for a costume parade at noon! We'll have a costume contest as well, so come in your costumes for your chance to win a family membership to the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo
Come celebrate Halloween with us in a fun, family-friendly environment while connecting with local resources and other families in the community. Registration is required.
Parking is available just a few steps from the Garfield Park Program Center. Restrooms are available on site, and the building and parking area are accessible by ramp. ADA-accessible trail loops are also available.
The Haunted Trails of Coe Lake Park
The Haunted Trails event is free and open to the public! There will be photo props, festive decorations, inflatables, food vendors, music, live dance performance and temporary tattoos!
The Haunted Trails event is FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! All are welcome to enjoy all the different activities (listed above) we have to offer at Coe Lake.
Tickets are only needed for the Spooky Trails activity which are reserved for families in the Berea City School District (Berea, Brook Park and Middleburg Heights).
**Tickets will be available at the Berea Recreation Center starting Sunday, Sept. 13 from 10 am - noon and then during regular Rec Center business hours.
The Haunted Trails is an activity in which families can walk through the trails and explore the spooky characters and effects. While we do not have an age limit, please understand that this attraction is meant to frighten and startle. Visual effects (fog, lasers, strobe lights, animatronics etc.) are used to maximize the scare experience and the frightening factor of the Haunted Trails focuses more on the “startle” rather than gore. Many visitors will scream with surprise or fear as they move throughout the trails. There are no characters that will touch you during your walk and there’s no need to worry about inappropriate decorations or gory special effects.
Berea's Harvest Festival
A preview to Halloween, the Harvest Festival offers a safe and fun environment for families to enjoy different activities that the whole family would enjoy. There will be costume characters, mini pumpkin patch, magic show, crafts, music, food vendors, inflatables, magic show, face painting and more!!

Calling all ghouls and goblins, princesses and superheroes—Crocker Park’s annual Tricks & Treats Halloween celebration is back and better than ever! Join us on Saturday, October 24 from 12–3pm for an afternoon of free spooky fun, sweet treats, and family-friendly entertainment you won’t want to miss.
Our Tricks & Treats event is perfect for families looking to enjoy the Halloween spirit in a safe, walkable, and exciting outdoor setting. Kids are encouraged to dress in costume and bring their candy buckets for trick-or-treating throughout the property. Participating stores and vendors will have pumpkin decals in their windows—just follow the trail of pumpkins and collect goodies (while supplies last)!

Halloween Boo-tique
Bring the whole family in costume and join us on Thursday, October 29th from 5–7 PM for an evening of Halloween fun at our Halloween Boo-tique at Eton Chagrin Boulevard.
Kids can trick-or-treat at participating stores both inside and outside the mall while enjoying plenty of treats and seasonal excitement. Visitors can also look forward to exciting games, engaging activities, and a special appearance by the Woodmere Police Department.

The Lorain Port and Finance Authority sponsors an annual Independence Day Fireworks Display for residents and visitors. The display is launched from the Mile-Long Pier and can be viewed from Black River Landing, the Mile-Long Pier, Lakeview Beach, and other nearby locations. This event serves as the closing Fourth of July celebration for America's 250th birthday.
Viewing Reminder:
Fireworks begin after the sun completely sets.
Recommended viewing areas include Black River Landing, the Mile-Long Pier, Lakeview Beach, and nearby locations.

Downtown Cleveland Light Up the Lake
Downtown Cleveland, Inc. is going bigger and brighter for the Fourth of July with this year’s Light Up the Lake celebration. Presented by Minutemen Family of Companies, with additional support from the City of Cleveland and North Coast Harbor, downtown’s lakefront will celebrate America’s 250 with free, family-friendly fun, local food vendors and front-row views of Cleveland’s dazzling fireworks display over Lake Erie.
The annual Independence Day fireworks spectacular will begin at dusk after the sun sets, approximately 10 pm and last for 20 minutes.
In the event of inclement weather, the Light Up the Lake Fireworks Show will be rescheduled to Sunday, July 5. Please check Downtown Cleveland's social media channels for the latest updates and announcements.

Celebrate America 250 with live music, stilt walker, face painting, and a walk/bike/stroller parade and celebration.
Grindstone Festival
The Grindstone Festival is Berea’s signature Fourth of July celebration — and this year is especially meaningful as we commemorate the Nation’s 250th Anniversary. We’re planning to celebrate in a big way!
This beloved one-day event features activities for all ages, including paddleboat rides on Coe Lake, live entertainment and band concerts, inflatables for kids, and a wide variety of food vendors. The evening concludes with a spectacular fireworks display over Coe Lake, drawing thousands of visitors from throughout the region to celebrate our community and our country together.

Fourth of July in Lakewood
Lakewood hosts one of the best and most beloved Fourth of July celebrations in the greater Cleveland area, drawing residents and visitors for a full day of community pride, entertainment, and classic holiday traditions.
The festivities begin at 10:00 AM with the city’s popular Fourth of July Parade, which marches down Lake Avenue with a lively mix of community groups, local organizations, and patriotic displays. Families line the street early to get a good spot, making it one of the most anticipated parades in the region.
In the evening, Lakewood Park becomes the centerpiece of the celebration. At 7:00 PM, the Lakewood Project, Lakewood High School’s acclaimed rock orchestra, takes the stage at the historic Lakewood Park Bandstand.
The day concludes with a spectacular fireworks show at 9:45 PM over Lakewood Park. Set against Lake Erie’s shoreline, the display lights up the sky and provides the perfect finale to a full day of celebration.

In honor of America’s 250th Anniversary, The Wadsworth Area Historical Society, in partnership with Main Street Wadsworth, will be hosting a short program that evening in front of the historic St. Mark’s Church on College Street beginning at 8:00 PM. The Mayor, Robin Laubaugh, will address the audience on behalf of the City of Wadsworth. Megan Harvey, Executive Director of Main Street Wadsworth will be recognizing the downtown area as a National Historic District. Finally, a large plaque memorializing E. J. Young, the founder of the Ohio Companies (Ohio Match, Ohio Injector, Ohio Boxboard and Ohio Salt Companies) will be unveiled.
At 8:30 PM, St. Mark’s Church, Wadsworth United Methodist Church, Trinity United Church of Christ, Wadsworth City Hall, and the Johnson House Museum will toll their bells 13 times in honor of the thirteen original colonies. Let FREEDOM ring!

Geauga County Maple Festival
As the oldest maple festival in the United States, the Geauga County Maple Festival commemorates the production of pure maple syrup in Geauga County and Northeast Ohio. The festival is held annually during the last full weekend of April.

Gnomes are on the Roam in Medina! They've left their winter sheds and are roaming around Medina. You can spot them hanging out inside local shops or peeking out of the store windows! You can join in on the search and enter for a chance to win Prizes!
RULES:
The hunt begins on March 30 at 11am and ends on April 5 at 5pm.
Click on the link, enter your email address, name, and mailing address.
Select "Location 1" on the dropdown list and go to that location.
Find the Location 1 Gnome hiding in the store window or inside. Find the Gnome's name.
Select the "Location 1 Gnome Name" from the list. Lists are in alphabetical order.
Repeat until you match 10 Locations with 10 Gnomes' names.
Click SUBMIT!
If your entry is correct, you will be entered into a random drawing on Monday, April 6 2026 to receive select prizes from participating locations. You will be notified by email if your name is drawn.

14th Annual Cleveland Kurentovanje Festival and Parade
Cleveland Kurentovanje’s Main Festival and Parade is free and open to the public.
Tickets are not required nor sold.
GENERAL TIMELINE:
Kurent Dash 5k runners can begin check-in and registration in the Main Hall beginning at 9AM. The race will begin promptly at 10AM.
The doors to the Slovenian National Home will open at 10AM for Festival attendees.
The Cleveland Kurentovanje Parade will begin promptly at Noon.
Following the Parade, the magic continues with musical performances on four different stages. Check back for a band and performance list soon!
Be sure to stick around until the end for the Pokop Pusta, which is our Closing Ceremony event at the festival.

All Parking is first come first served. There are a few parking lots in the area where you can park for free, as well as street parking. Please park at your own risk. Handicapped parking is available. See our Accessibility Section.
In order to make purchases at one of our Bar stations, you’ll need to purchase Kurent Cash Bar Tickets from one of our ticket stations. Food Vendors inside and outside, including food trucks, will not accept Kurent Cash tickets. They are cash or card only. We’ll feature traditional Slovenian food vendors as well as some of your local favorites. Check back soon for a list of Food Vendors servicing our event.
Bring the kiddos! We have plenty of activities ready for them in the Children’s Village, located in the lower level of Slovenian National Home, including Story Time with Teta Maria (Aunt Maria) and a Sing-A-Long with Stric John (Uncle John).
You’ll also have the opportunity to shop our Vendor Village, which complements the grassroots nature of this cultural event by celebrating the creativity and ingenuity of local artisans. Check back soon for a list of vendors!

In Vermilion, Winter is not a season, it’s a celebration! We head outdoors and enjoy everything Vermilion has to offer. Celebrating its 17th Anniversary, the event features over 50 ice sculptures created by Elegant Ice Creations, Cleveland’s top ice sculptors.
Visitors and residents alike will enjoy live demonstrations, a kids frozen play space, kids train rides as well as shopping, and dining at our local businesses.
A highlight of the day is when fire and ice combine in a spectacular chimney of ice set a blaze to music and fire dancing performers.
We wind down at the annual Melt Down Party where you will find warmth, raffles and yummy food and drink. Tickets available in advance to attend the Melt Down Party.

Join for a fun and kid-friendly cookie decorating experience!
This special class is designed for young decorators and their grown-ups to enjoy together. You’ll work side-by-side as each participant decorates their own set of 3 themed cookies using beginner-friendly techniques like outlining, flooding, and simple piping.
In this class, we’ll decorate the sweetest little Love Monsters — perfect for Valentine’s fun with your kiddo!
