The Children's Museum of Cleveland is hosting a series of FREE community play events!
With support from the David & Inez Myers Foundation, families who both:
- Live in the City of Cleveland
- Receive government assistance (WIC, EBT, SNAP, etc.)
can join us for a free play event at CMC!
Participating families will also receive:
- A free bag of school supplies (1 per child)
- A free CMC membership (1 per family)
Families must attend an event to receive a supply kit and membership.
Lowe's Kids Workshop: Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie Workshop

Join us for Family Game Night at The Wandering Lantern on Friday, July 31 from 5–6 PM. We’re wrapping up July with a fun, easygoing evening for families who love games, books, and community. Bring a favorite game from home or choose from the games we’ll have at the store. It’s a lovely chance to play together, meet other families who enjoy spending time at the bookstore, and end the month on a cheerful note. We’d love to see you there.

Author Katrina Brown Special Story Time
Join us on July 18th for a special author visit with Katrina Brown, author of Dancing with Kayden.
Katrina will share her heartfelt children’s book about Kayden, a young boy who may not use many words, but expresses himself beautifully through rhythm, movement, and dance. With the love and support of his family, teacher, and music therapy group, Kayden discovers confidence, joy, and his own wonderful way of communicating with the world.
This special storytime celebrates music, movement, self-expression, and the many different ways children connect, communicate, and shine. Families are invited to come listen, move, and enjoy a meaningful morning with a story that reminds us that every child has something beautiful to say.

Author Josh Galang for a STEM Story Time
Blast off with us for a special author visit with Joshua Galang, author of Rocket Trip: The Solar System Search!
Joshua is an author, illustrator, educator, and experience designer who loves using technology, art, and storytelling to help kids learn. During this interactive visit, he’ll read from Rocket Trip, an out-of-this-world adventure about three kids who journey through the solar system with a robotic friend on a mission to rescue a stranded astronaut.
After the story, Joshua will talk with kids about space, creativity, and STEAM—science, technology, engineering, art, and math—and how imagination can help us explore big ideas. Perfect for curious kids, young inventors, future astronauts, and anyone who loves a good adventure.

This summer, we are hosting a series of FREE family play events at the Museum designed to build connection and collaboration on future exhibits and programs.
Design: At the event, families will have the opportunity to participate in CMC's exhibit design process by sharing their ideas with our staff in short, one-on-one interviews, and get creative in our Arts & Parts exhibit with an interactive exhibit design activity.
Engage: Share about your experience at the Museum, and the features you'd like to see in the future! Your feedback will help us learn more about the audience we serve, and shape our future plans for new exhibits and programs.
Play: Families will enjoy two hours of free play in our 8 interactive exhibit areas!

Content Creator Camp
Cleveland Public Library proudly presents the second annual Content Creator Camp, a dynamic event designed to immerse participants in the world of digital creativity 🎬📱
This year’s event will feature Stefan Johnson, a nationally recognized voice and screen actor with more than 12 million followers across TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram. Known for his charismatic presence and viral food content, Stefan will lead two interactive sessions focused on voice acting techniques and building an authentic, engaging social media brand.
Attendees will gain practical insights, creative strategies, and inspiration to help them develop their own voice and grow confidently as content creators in today’s digital landscape. ✨
Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear from industry leaders on topics including artificial intelligence, drones, and game design, offering insight into emerging technologies shaping today’s creative landscape.
The Cleveland Gaming Classic will also be on site to provide retro gaming experiences and share information about their upcoming convention later this year, giving participants a chance to explore the roots of gaming culture while learning about opportunities to stay connected with the local gaming community. 🎮
