To inspire 5th-8th grade students with a day of hands-on learning and career exploration in science, technology, engineering and mathematics
National STEM Day, celebrated annually on November 8, encourages interest and participation in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics by inspiring the next generation of innovators and highlighting the importance of these fields in society.

In honor of this day, the City of Cleveland Department of Public Utilities will bring together several organizations and professional experts in the community to offer insight on a variety of STEM-focused careers through presentations and exhibition tables.

Embark on a self-guided scavenger hunt through our galleries, using themed activity sheets curated for students of all ages. Visit our educator-led stations for hands-on learning and check the daily schedule for additional fun.

Creatures of the (Day and) Night

Who’s wide awake when the sun’s out and who’s prowling after dark? Meet day dwellers and night explorers, and uncover the incredible tricks they use to hunt, hide and survive – morning, noon or night!

Drop-in educator-led activity available between 10am-12pm in the classroom.

Scavenger hunt available 10am-5pm.
