💗 Supporting Every Birth Journey in Cleveland
Since its founding, Birthing Beautiful Communities (BBC) has worked to address the systemic and community factors that contribute to poor birth outcomes.
Through Culture, Education, Advocacy, Support, and Engagement (CEASE), BBC provides holistic, culturally rooted care that helps women deliver full-term, healthy babies and ensures every family feels supported, seen, and empowered through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
BBC is powered by a team of Perinatal Support Doulas who act as companions, coaches, and advocates for expecting parents. Their work strengthens families, reduces stress, and creates brighter beginnings for Cleveland’s next generation.
Core Programs
Doula Support & Childbirth Education: One-on-one perinatal support throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period, along with childbirth and lactation classes that honor every family’s birth plan.
Baby Bank: Provides diapers, wipes, clothing, and other essentials to new parents in need.
Our Wellness Network (OWN): Connects Black mothers, fathers, and families with licensed therapists and peer specialists for counseling, grief support, and healing.
Birthing Moms Unchained: Provides compassionate perinatal support to pregnant women who are incarcerated.
Doula Training & E.P.I.C. (Educated Parents Initiate Change): Equips aspiring doulas and young parents with the education and tools to build stable, thriving futures.
Wraparound Services: Includes grocery support, transportation to medical appointments, and mental health resources that extend beyond birth.

If you or someone you love is expecting, BBC can connect you with a Perinatal Support Doula who will walk alongside your family from pregnancy through your baby’s first year.

Today, as we honor Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day, BBC invites families to join their Wave of Light Livestream at 6:30 PM for a virtual gathering of reflection, remembrance, and community support.
