Join Painesville Recreation for their annual movie night under the stars in Painesville Square! This year's family-friendly movie is Disney's Moana 2! We have a giant LED flat screen for easy viewing with the movie starting at 7:00 p.m. This is a free community event thank to our sponsor Cintas. Snacks available for purchase. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy a night out in Painesville Square!

Activities: 7-9 pm

Movie time: 9:15 pm

The free outdoor movies are located at Coe Lake Park (85 South Rocky River Dr.) Please bring your own chair or blanket and watch a movie under the stars on a 30 ft. inflatable screen.

Summer movies begin at dusk (approximately 9:15 p.m.)

Snacks and refreshments will be available for purchase at the Outdoor Pool window!

On select Friday nights in the summer, the Lakewood Park Bandstand turns into an outdoor movie theater for families to gather and watch movies for all ages. Events are free and open to the public, and guests can bring chairs, blankets, pillows, snacks, and drinks to enjoy these nighttime movies. Additionally, one Friday Night Flick event takes place at Madison Park.

The show begins at dusk; the specific start time for each date depends on the time of year and when the sun sets.

 Movies in the Park – Free Outdoor Movie Nights Every Thursday at Sundown in Westlake, Ohio 

Looking for the perfect summer activity in Westlake? Bring your blankets and lawn chairs and join us on the Union Square lawn—right in front of Regal Cinemas and Nordstrom at Crocker Park—for Movies in the Park, our free summer movie series!

Every Thursday at sundown, now through Labor Day, enjoy an evening under the stars with family and friends. We’ll be showing a fantastic lineup of beloved classics and the latest blockbuster releases—making it the perfect outdoor movie night for all ages.

Make a night of it! Start with a little shopping  at favorites like CLE Clothing Co., Everarbor, Lucky Shoes or Macy’s. Then, grab dinner  at one of our popular restaurants—Yard House, Texas de Brazil, or Pacific East. And of course, don’t forget to save room for popcorn  and snacks from Regal Cinemas to enjoy during the movie!

Ohio Goes to the Movies — Superman (Rated PG-13)
Saturday, July 11, at Observatory Park, with pre-show activities at 6 PM and our movie at 7 PM
In honor of America 250, did you know…? Superman is deeply connected to Cleveland because it’s where creators Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster conceived the hero in the 1930s! Released in 2025, this movie was also filmed in Cleveland, which is the hometown of actress Isabella Merced, who played Hawkgirl in the film.

On select Friday nights in the summer, the Lakewood Park Bandstand turns into an outdoor movie theater for families to gather and watch movies for all ages. Events are free and open to the public, and guests can bring chairs, blankets, pillows, snacks, and drinks to enjoy these nighttime movies. Additionally, one Friday Night Flick event takes place at Madison Park.

The show begins at dusk; the specific start time for each date depends on the time of year and when the sun sets.

The City of Cuyahoga Falls Parks and Recreation Department is thrilled to announce the return of Flix on the Falls, bringing four fantastic family-friendly movie nights to downtown Cuyahoga Falls this summer. Get ready for an unforgettable experience filled with live entertainment, delicious food, and of course, movies under the stars!

Mark your calendars for these can't-miss evenings, all kicking off at 6:30 PM with the movie starting at dusk:

July 10th: Lilo & Stitch - a heartwarming adventure about friendship, family, and one mischievous alien who crashes into paradise! Immerse yourself in a world of magic with music, character visits, engaging activities, food trucks to satisfy your cravings, and plenty of good old-fashioned fun!

~ July 24th: Jurassic World: Rebirth - Follow a covert team sent to a dangerous island to recover dinosaur DNA for medical research! Enjoy dino inter-actives, giveaways, delicious food truck fare, and giant inflatables that will make even the dangerous dinosaurs have fun.
~ July 31st: Goonies - Come along with us on this classic adventure film about a group of kids who discover a pirate treasure map and set off on an exciting quest to save their neighborhood! Take part in a treasure hunt, enjoy giveaways, participate in fun activities, grab a bite from the food trucks, and bounce around in the inflatables!
